Eye Tests in Sliema
Eyecare Opticians is an independent optician on Tower Road in Sliema, Malta. Our eye tests are carried out by a qualified optometrist and check both your vision and the health of your eyes. The test is suitable if you need new prescription glasses, an updated prescription for standard contact lenses, or simply want a routine check-up.
What Happens During an Eye Test?
- A short chat about your vision, lifestyle, screen use and any symptoms you have noticed.
- A vision check at distance and near.
- Refraction to find the lens prescription that gives you the clearest, most comfortable vision.
- An eye health screening.
- Clear advice on your results — and, if you need glasses, help choosing lenses and frames.
A standard appointment normally takes around 15–20 minutes. Additional checks may take longer, depending on your individual needs.
How Much Does an Eye Test Cost?
An eye test costs €35 when booked on its own. It is free when you purchase a frame with prescription lenses from us.
Do I Need an Appointment?
We recommend booking online so your preferred time is reserved — it takes less than two minutes and no payment is required. You can also walk in when slots are available, or call / WhatsApp us on +356 7927 1208.
Eye Tests for Glasses
If your test shows you need glasses, our team will help you choose the right lenses — single vision, varifocal (progressive) lenses or ZEISS lenses — and a frame from our range of designer glasses.
Contact Lens Assessments
We perform routine contact lens eye tests to check your prescription and lens fit. If you are new to contact lenses, ask us about a contact lens fitting — see our contact lenses page for more information.
